Point of Rocks Beach is ideal for swimming, kayaking/canoeing and floating at high tide. Clamming, skim boarding, and watching & collecting sea creatures are popular low tide activities.
Brewster offers a variety of water activities including boat rentals at Nickerson State Park’s Flax Pond. Nickerson is just 2.7 miles east on MA-6A. The cottage is also located 8.2 miles from Nauset Beach. Nauset is located on the east side of the Cape on the Atlantic Ocean. Adventurous water enthusiasts will enjoy boogie boarding, body surfing and traditional surfing in the cool Atlantic water. Nauset is also home to the infamous Liam’s Clam Shack, a great alternative to packing a lunch. Vacationers who wish to bring their own boats can dock at Sesuit Harbor just 5.1 miles from the cottage. Boats can be sailed through the Bay waters around to Point of Rocks beach.
Other public beaches in Brewster include: Paines Creek, Mant’s Landing, Saint’s Landing, Breakwater , Ellis Landing, Linnell Landing and Crosby. Long Pond and Upper Mill Pond also have public beach access.
